GENERAL DEVELOPMENT POLICIES

This section establishes the general policies on the basis of which the urban and rural parts of the Master Plan were prepared and should be implemented. In Chapter IV the specific policies relative to each individual component of the plan are detailed.

All of these policies emanate from the basic Government policies to establish the National Capital at Dodoma and to ensure that the socioeconomic well-being of all Tanzanians in general and of the regional population in particular, will be improved within the framework of the principles of socialism, self-reliance and self-help.
