|TANU National Headquarters and
|Special building complex being the central focus of the nation on a
high bluff on Chimwaga
|Government ministry buildings||Ministry buildings and related institutions, mainly concentrated along
the busway, north of the Iseni ridge.
|TANU Regional Offices||These are buildings of prominence and will be located close to the
other government buildings and within their space allocation of 60 ha
|Unforeseen government and
|Land reserved for possible future government and institutional uses, in
addition to current projections.
|Police Headquarters||A site of 5 ha is considered adequate for this facility, as the Field
Force Unit and other police stations are located elsewhere.
|High Court||A prominent site of 4 ha was allowed.||4|
|President's Residence||A dignified site, with large grounds and quiet character close to the
hills is required; alternative sites have been shown on the Master Plan.
The final site will be selected in consultation with the Government and
the President. Space allocation should be generous.
diplomatic residential areas
|Chancelleries, requiring an area of 50 ha, are dispersed throughout
several neighbourhoods. Office space related to embassies and
consulates may be located in parastatal offices in the A Centre,
referred to below.
Mineral Research Centre
National Scientific Research
|Ail these functions are combined on a major educational site, with
access to the busway, major roads and adjacent to the botanical
garden, east of Itega. No educational institute should be located close
to diplomatic areas.
|Technical College||A separate site close to imagi hill has been allocated.||25|
|Military Academy||A prominent site is required with adequate grounds for parades.||50|
|Major Hospitais||Located at a quiet central site with excellent access.||40|
|International School||A high school for the diplomatic community on a 6 ha site, which
should be close to public transit.

major open space areas between communities.
